Margaret A. Goff
Margaret was born on March 6, 1925 in Malden, one of 7 children of the late Dennis and Annie (LeBlanc) Amirault. She was raised in Malden, and graduated from Sacred Hearts High School.She married Ralph D. Goff on December 18, 1953 and they settled in Melrose to raise a family.
Mrs. Goff was a family woman who dedicated much of her life to caring for her family.She was a devoted mother, doting grandmother, and loved gathering everyone together for the holidays.Margaret provided loving care for her parents as they grew older and provided the same devoted care for her husband, Ralph.She was always generous and loved sewing clothes for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
For many years, Margaret enjoyed spending the summer at the family camp on Newfound Lake in New Hampshire.Every year, she looked forward to going to the beach, and getting together with family and friends.In her spare time, she loved travelling, doing puzzles, and playing games.
Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Ralph D. Goff with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.Devoted mother of Ralph D. Goff and his wife Patricia of N. Andover, and Joyce A. MacCormack and her husband Thomas of E. Boston.Dear sister of Hazel Martel of Malden, and the late Rose Glionna, Frances Landry, Anita Meuse, Gilbert Amirault, and John "Brother" Amirault.Cherished grandmother of Ashleigh, Kevin, Jacqueline and her husband James, Joseph and his fiancé Cassie, and Andrew and his fiance Vanessa.Loving great-grandmother of Hailey, Austin, and Morgan.
Relatives and friends will gather in honor of Margaret's life for visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Thursday, December 19 from 4-8 PM, and again on Friday morning at 8 AM before leaving in procession to St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 AM.Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
