Maria A. (Rossino) Jackson, 76 died Monday, December 15, 2003 at home after a brief illness. She was born in Everett, daughter of the late Sebastian and Mary (DiFilippo) Rossino. She was a resident of Melrose for many years previously residing in Wakefield and Cape Cod. Mrs. Jackson was a graduate of Melrose High School, Suffolk University, McGill College and Boston University where she received her Masters Degree in Counseling.
Mrs. Jackson was a teacher at the Malden Public Schools where she later was a counselor for several years until her retirement. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, National Education Association, Malden Teachers Association and the Massachusetts Teachers Association.
Wife of Ray Jackson with whom she shared 31 years of marriage. Mother of David L. and Stephen L.Jackson.Sister of Tina Aliberti and Stella Aliberte both of Malden, Thomas Rossino of Melrose, Joseph A. Rossino of Saugus and Americo Rossino of North Reading. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 455 Washington Ave., Revere, Friday December 19 at 11 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Gifts in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
