Marianne (Jameson) Norman

Mrs. Marianne (Jameson) Norman, a longtime resident of Melrose, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2014 at EPOCH Senior Healthcare of Melrose, at age 90.

Marianne was born on April 22, 1923 in Boston, daughter of the late Mildred E. (McKinney) Jameson. She was raised in the Back Bay of Boston, and graduated from Prince School on Newbury Street and Girls High School.She worked in Air Force Recruiting during World War II and later for Massachusetts Institute of Technology until the mid 1960's.In 1947, she married the late Earl A. Norman and they settled in Melrose.

Marianne enjoyed many active years volunteering for Federation including serving as President from 1994 to 1996.She traveled throughout Massachusetts visiting many of the Federation Clubs.She was also a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Boston.

Marianne was the beloved wife of the late Earl A. Norman.Devoted mother of Earl A. Norman of Melrose.Loving cousin of Elizabeth Stevens and her late husband Waldo of W. Harwich, Judith Palmer and her late husband Richard of Harwich Port, and William Munroe and his wife Priscilla of Lynnfield.Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Relatives and friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Marianne's life for a Graveside Service at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., Peabody on Tuesday, March 25 at 10:00 AM.
