Mrs. Beckford was born in Derry, NH, February 22, 1921, daughter of the late John H. Brewster and Rose L.(Evans) Brewster. Mrs. Beckford was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH. She loved knitting, playing cards and bingo. Mary was the loving wife of 63 years to Clifford G. Beckford. She was the loving mother of Susan Amiss and her husband, Brooke of Moultonboro, NH, Judy Dami and her husband, John of Woburn, Kip Beckford and his wife, Rosemary of Saugus, Sandra McLaurin of Melrose, Terry MacKay and her husband, Wayne, Mark Beckford and his wife Tricia, Peter Beckford and his wife Susan and Cindy Haley and her husband, Michael, all of Melrose. Mary was the cherished grandmother of 22 grandchildren and the late Kerri Scanzillo. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Monday, October 31 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 pm. Gifts in her memory may be made to Chime Time Children's Center, 561 Main St., Melrose, MA 02176. Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose, MA. Arrangements by Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. Melrose, MA.
