Mary Rose Mcdermott
Mary was raised in Springfield, and graduated from Chicopee High School.She had lived on Cape Cod, Reading, Keene, NH and Melrose.She worked for many years as a clerk-typist for the U.S. Government and also for the U.S. Air Force at Westover Field in Chicopee.
Mary Rose was the wife of the late Francis M. "Frank" McDermott.Mother of Michael T. McDermott of Wilmington and the late Kevin F. McDermott.Sister of Joan L. Mullen of Saugus, Ann E. Smith of Melrose and the late William C. McQueen, Margaret L. Ross, Edward McQueen, Kathryn Watson, Alice Klein, George B. McQueen, James R. McQueen, Cyril P. McQueen, Grace A. Ryan, Arthur B. Lyons, Jr. and John J. Lyons.Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Saturday February 26 at 9 AM.Funeral Mass in St. Athanasius Church,Haverhill St., Readingat 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Saturday 8 - 9:30 AM. Interment will be in Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
