Mrs. Mary E. (MacKenzie) Michigan of Melrose, died suddenly Thursday afternoon, May 18, 2006 at her home in Melrose.
Mrs. Michigan was born May 25, 1933 in Somerville, MA, daughter of the late Donald MacKenzie and Grace (Briggs) MacKenzie.
Mrs. Michigan was a long-time resident of Melrose and a long-time parishioner of the Church of Incarnation where she was a Eucharist Minister.She was also part of the Rosary Group at the Church.For many years she worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for Mutual Produce in Chelsea.She was a very active volunteer at My Brother's Table in Lynn and working on crafts with the elderly.She was a member of the Ladies Sodality at St. Mary's Church in Melrose, the Melrose Women's Club and also volunteered for Health South at Woburn Rehab and also volunteered as a clerk at voting days in Melrose.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Albert Michigan.Devotedmother of John Drohan of Lynn and Ann Marie Tokson of Everett.Stepmother of Shirley Lozzi of Everett, James Michigan of Litchfield, NH and Martin Michigan of Merrimack.Sister of DavidD. MacKenzie and his wife Jane of West Roxbury.Cherished grandmother of KristenLyall, Kerri Lyall, Kimberly Lyall, Steven Drohan and Stephanie Dunbar.Great grandmother of Cameron DiBiccari.Aunt of Patricia MacKenzie of NY.Cousin of Joan Mucci of Revere and Phyllis Gravina of Bradenton, FL.
