Mrs. Mary R. (Mallardo) Gargiulo, a resident of Melrose, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Twin Oaks Healthcare in Danvers after a period of declining health.She was 91 years old. Mrs. Gargiulo was born on July 17, 1920 in Avelino, Italy, a daughter of the late Raphael Mallardo and Amelia (Capone) Mallardo.

Mary was the devoted wife of the late Charles A. Gargiulo Sr with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.Loving mother of Charles A. Gargiulo Jr. of Everett.Dear sister of the late Theresa Battaglia, Anna Fucaloro, Modestino Mallardo, Louie Mallardo and Charles Mallardo.

A Graveside Service will be held at Wyoming Cemetery, 205 Sylvan St., Melrose, Monday, October 26 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Gifts in her memory may be made to All Care Hospice, 16 City Hall Square, Lynn 01901.
