Mary E. Smith
Born in Campbelton, New Brunswick Canada, daughter of the late Allan and Margaret (Murchie) Miller, she came to Melrose in 1935.
Mary was a Registered Nurse and worked at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for many years and also at the Danforth House in Lynnfield.
She was the wife of the late George M. Smith.She is survived by her 3 children; George M. Smith, Jr. and his wife Susan of Merrimack, NH, Allen M. Smith and his wife Diane of Melrose and Cheryl A. Smith and her husband John of Danvers; sister of Lois MacLean and Robert Miller, both of Canada and the late Evelyn Miller and Olive Miller; a granddaughter Kimberly Smith-McCue; 2 Great-grandchildren, Ashley and Justin and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main Street, Melrose on Thursday, September 15th at 11 AM.A Visiting Hour will be held one hour prior from 10-11a.m.Relatives and friends are kindly invited.Gifts in her memory may be made to Schepens Retina Associates, 1 Autumn St., 6th Flr., Boston, MA02215.
