Mary E. (Pellegrino) Sullivan

Mary E. (Pellegrino) Sullivan, resident of Melrose, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 13, 2022 at a Woburn healthcare facility.  She was 73.

Born in Medford on July 21, 1948, Mary was one of six children of Elizabeth (Lacey) Pellegrino and the late John Pellegrino.  She grew up in Medford graduating from Medford High School.  In her youth she helped take care of her siblings and helped at her father’s dry-cleaning business.

Mary had lived in Melrose since 2002 and enjoyed the community.  She worked as an operator at Boston Children's Hospital and made lasting friendships there.

Mary had a deep love for her family and was with them as often as possible.  She spent almost every Sunday with her kids as well.  She also enjoyed vacationing at York Beach and watching the Red Sox.

Mary’s love for her family will be missed but lovingly remembered.

Mary was the wife of Paul V. Sullivan.  Devoted mother of Mark Stagliola and his wife Vickie of Billerica, Elana Sullivan of Melrose, and the late Danielle Sullivan.  Loving sister of Chuckie Pellegrino and his wife Claire, Bobby Pellegrino, Susan Stewart and her husband Roy, William Pellegrino and his wife Becky, and the late Frankie Pellegrino.  Proud grandmother of Andrew and Marina Stagliola and Cali Garland.

Relatives and friends will gather to honor Mary’s life at Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose for her visiting hours on Friday, June 17th from 4-7pm.
