Mr. Maurice H. Glazier, a resident of Stoneham and formerly of Melrose, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington after a period of declining health.He was 81 years of age.Maurice was born in Boston on June 16, 1928, one of two sons of the late Joseph Glazier and Helene (Steuer) Glazier.
Mr. Glazier was raised in Chelsea where he graduated from Chelsea High School.He graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine and received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law.He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.Before practicing law, Mr. Glazier owned and operated his own chemical business, Middlesex Chemical Co. in Melrose.He then worked for GTE Corp. as a contract attorney for many years.He enjoyed military history, food & wine, the Red Sox, and above all else loved his granddaughter, Rebecca.
He was the beloved husband of Jane (Frishmuth) Glazier with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.Devoted father of Linda B. Dalton and her husband Glen L. of Stoneham and Karl D. Glazier and his wife Carla A. Gumm of Carle Place, NY.Dear brother of Alvin S. Glazier and his wife Jean of Alexandria, VA. Cherished grandfather of Rebecca E. Dalton of Stoneham.Loving uncle of David Glazier of CA, Steven Glazier of SC and Michael Glazier of VA.Also survived by Ozzy, his dear "grand-dog."
