May was born on September 7, 1916 in Stoneham, MA.She was raised in Malden, a daughter of the late Ralph P. Ingalls and Elizabeth F. (Whitney) Ingalls.
Mrs. Kauffman was the function president for her housing development in Middleton for over 20 years.She loved shopping, dancing and socializing.She was an excellent seamstress, knitting prized afghans.May enjoyed wintering in Florida with her late husband, Russell.
May was the beloved wife of the late Russell E. Kauffman, Sr.Devoted mother of Russell E. Kauffman, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Tewksbury and Ronald A. Kauffman and his wife Alice of Amherst, NH.Dear sister of Harold Ingalls of Seabrook, NH and the late Leah Holzworth, Ralph Ingalls and Earl Ingalls.Cherished grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
