Maybelle I. Swensen
May was born in Hopkinton, NH on February 26, 1920, a daughter of the late William and Isabelle Porter.She was the widow of Harold T. Swensen who died August 27, 1977.
She grew up in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, graduating from Melrose High School in 1938 with honors.She then lived in Melrose for over 50 years.She also lived for a time in California and Nashua, New Hampshire.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and cherished her time with family and many friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen L. Nickerson of Nashua, NH; a son, Theodore A. Swensen and his wife Paula of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; five grandchildren, Wayne, Charles and Daniel Nickerson, Katy Swensen, and Jesse Nickerson; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorraine Watson of N. Easton, Florence Roy of Odessa, TX and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter Kristin L. Nickerson who died in 1996 and nine brothers and sisters.
A Graveside Service will be held at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.G
