Muriel I. Swimm

Muriel I. Swimm, of Melrose and formerly of Malden, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Oosterman's Rest Home in Melrose after a period of declining health.She was 92 years old. Muriel was born on May 12, 1917 in Medford, daughter of the late Ritchie W. Swimm and Hattie M. (Atkinson) Swimm.She was a longtime teacher in the Malden public school system, retiring in 1978 after 38 years.For many years, she taught 5th grade at the Maplewood School.Muriel was the dear cousin of Robert Belliveau of Easthampton and Donald Atkinson of San Antonio, TX.

Funeral Service at the First Baptist Church, 493 Salem St., Malden, Monday, June 29 at11 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Interment in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
