Myrtice Russell

Myrtice "Sunny" Russell went home to her heavenly Father on June 29, 2007. She was born on August 31, 1910 in her family home in Melrose, MA to Mabel and Francis Richardson. Sunny was educated in several schools including the Boston School of Domestic Science, Pratt Institute in New York, and The Prince School. Her training led her to a variety of work experiences in foods, retailing, and personnel. She always remembered fondly her time at Harvard University working in Personnel Relations from 1943-1945. In 1947 she married Bruce E. Russell and subsequently had one daughter Linda. Sunny enjoyed her years of mothering and supporting her husband in his work. Key elements in her life were her Christian faith, her family, and music. In recent years she resided at Wesley Palms in Pacific Beach and most recently at La Pappion, an assisted living home. She had previously been a long-time member of the First Baptist church of Melrose, PEO, and Kappa Delta Psi.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Costello of Solana Beach,CA, sister Bertha Richardson, son in law Dennis Costello, and grandchildren Caitlin, Chris, and Tim.
