Mrs. Myrtle E. (Bailey) Mosack, a Melrose resident and formerly of Lynn and Somerville, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 83 years old.
Mrs. Mosack was born on June 23, 1925 in Somerville, a daughter of the late George R. Bailey and Lucille (Brown) Bailey.
Myrtle Mosack was raised in Somerville, graduated from Somerville High School and received her degree from Northeastern University.She worked at Mac-Gray in Cambridge for 30 years, retiring in 1990.She was a longtime resident of Somerville and Lynn before moving to Melrose to be closer to her loving family.Myrtle loved knitting, doing crossword puzzles and listening to any song sung by Frank Sinatra.
Myrtle was the beloved wife of the late Michael J. Mosack with whom she shared 21 years of marriage and Albert L. Barrows with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.Loving mother of Lucille H. Martins of Melrose and her late husband Raulino Martins, and Louis J. Barrows and his wife Karen of Melrose.
She was the cherished grandmother of George R. Martins, David C. Martins, Felicia Martins, David A. Martins, Ariana Martins, Vincent Navarro, Louis J. Barrows Jr., Jennifer Veno, Daniel Barrows, Stephanie Torressen and Matthew Barrows.Cherished great grandmother of Sara, Zachary, Zackary, Anthony, Ashley, Nathan, Madison and Ryan.
