Nancy Austin Watts, daughter of the late Elmer and Winona Chapin Austin, and widow of David F. H. Watts, died peacefully Friday evening, August 31, 2007 at Salem Hospital.
Nancy is survived by her three sons and their wives, David F. H. Watts, Jr. and his wife Susan and Paul D. Watts and his wife Diane of Wakefield, and Dana W. Watts and his wife Elaine of Georgetown. Dear sister of T.C. Austin of Tullahoma, TN. Nancy or Gramma Bear, as she was lovingly known is also survived by seven grandchildren:Allyson, Heather, Lauren, Courtney and Paul Jr. all of Wakefield, and Danielle and Jonathan, of Georgetown.
Nancy devoted much of her life to helping others, whether as a den mother forPack 713 , Deaconess of her parish, volunteering for theRed Cross, or her latest contribution, President of theBoard ofDirectors for the Boit Home. Nancy gave each endeavor her all. Nancy was also employed by Parkwood Industries, American Mutual Insurance Company and most recently, Beckman Industies.
After the death of her husband, Nancy began a new adventure at Brooksby Village. Her many activities and many more friends will attest to her love of life there.
Nancy will be sorely missed by all who knew her and will always be our shining star, Gramma Bear.
