Nicoletta "Nikki" Govostes
Nicoletta was born in Boston on November 4, 1924, a daughter of the late Nicolas Govostes and Anastasia (Caracassis) Govostes.For many years she worked as a Bookkeeper for the Appliance Engineering Company in Boston.
Nicoletta was raised in Everett, and graduated from Everett High School.In her youth, she played on the Woman's basketball team with Matty English and her love of the game continued into adulthood.Nicoletta, or "Nikki" as she was lovingly known, enjoyed watching all Boston sports, but any basketball game was her favorite.She also enjoyed shopping for new clothes, exercising, and travelling. She took road trips into her 70's and found interesting places like Las Vegas and the Niagara Falls to visit.
Nikki's family will forever remember her as a loving and sweet person.She made friends easily with her caring nature and was always generous to those around her.
She was the sister of the late Peter N. Govostes, Gus Govostes, William Marcopoulos and John Marks.Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will honor and remember Nikki's life by gathering for visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Monday, December 17 from 4-7 PM and again for her Funeral Service celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
