Oskar Kristiansen, 92 of Ossipee, NH formerly of Wakefield and Melrose, MA died October 22, 2003 at the Mountain View Nursing Home in Ossipee, NH after a long illness. Mr. Kristiansen was born August 23, 1911 in Bergen, Norway, son of the late Livion and Kristi (Larsdatter) Kristiansen. Mr. Kristiansen was a machinist for many years at General Electric, (aircraft division) in Lynn, MA. Mr. Kristiansen was a member of Wyoming Lodge, AF&AM, Melrose and served in the Navy during WW II and was also a member of the Lt. Norman Price VFW Post#1506, Melrose.
Mr. Kristiansen was the former husband of Marion F. (Robinson) Haley of Marblehead.Father of James L. Kristiansen of Laguna Woods, CA, Kjell O. Kristiansen of Louisville, KY, June L. Kristiansen of Amesbury and Eric G. Kristiansen of FL.Grandfather of Stanley, Karl and Kurt Kristiansen, all of Louisville, KY, Jonathan Kristiansen of Bowling Green, KY and David Lindley of Middleton, MA.He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Wyoming Cemetery, Sylvan St., Melrose, Saturday October 25 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. MELROSEFriday 4-8PM. Gifts in his memory may be made to the Mountain View Nursing Home, 10 County Farm Road, Ossipee, NH03864.
