Osvaldo Fasano, a longtime resident of Everett, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at CHA Everett Hospital at age 77.
Osvaldo was born on April 18, 1945 and raised in the town of Cava de Tirreni, Salerno in Italy. He came to the United States in his early 20’s. He found work in masonry construction and dedicated himself to his family. He was married to Assunta Navarra and they settled in Everett to raise two sons.
Osvaldo was a genuine good Italian man who loved his family, his roots, and always did his best for those around him. He enjoyed the simple things in life and kept his Catholic faith close to his heart. He was an avid sports fan, particularly soccer and always supported Azzurri, the Italian National Team. He also became a Boston sports fan, and enjoyed racing. A music enthusiast, Osvaldo loved having the radio on in the background around the house. He took pride in his appearance, always wore dress shoes, and took care of himself. Above all, he was a family man who enjoyed gathering around the table with family.
Osvaldo will be greatly and sorely missed, but his devotion to family, and his genuine heart will carry on as his legacy. May he rest in eternal peace.
Osvaldo was the beloved husband of Assunta (Navarra) Fasano with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. Devoted father of Gerardo Fasano and his wife Kelly Mattei of Lynn, and Enrico Fasano of Everett. Loving grandfather of Anthony Mattei. Also survived by several Fasano siblings in Italy, and nieces and nephews.
