Mr. Paul R. Rogers of Rochester, New Hampshire, formerly of Melrose, passed away at home on Tuesday morning May 6, 2008 surrounded by his loving family.He was 78 years old.
Paul was born January 17, 1930 in Quincy, a son of the late Albert Rogers and Irma (Revere) Rogers.
Paul was raised in Quincy and Marblehead, MA.He was a 10 year resident of Rochester, NH and a former long time resident of Melrose.He worked for Wells Fargo for many years and Mobil Oil and he retired as a station manager for Gibbs Oil in Saugus.Paul loved reading, woodworking and sports, especially football and baseball.
Paul was the beloved husband of Carolyn A. (Bunker) Rogers with whom he shared 35 years of marriage. Devoted father of Brenda L. Wong and her husband Melvin of Peabody, Debra A. Cannon and her husband Tom of Hudson, NH., Denise A. Nieman-Morrill of Rochester, NH and her late husband David A. Nieman, Steven R. Dow of Melrose and Paul R. Rogers Jr. and his wife Jean of Methuen, MA.Dear brother of Elinor Henchell of Gorham, ME and the late Alberta Birchmore, Grace Santerre, Norma Robinson, Irma Depolo and Albert Rogers.Cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Paul is also survived many nieces and nephews.
