Mr. Paul T. Winslow, of Melrose, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at home after an illness. He was 82.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret M. (McCormack) Winslow; his seven children, Mary M. Jordan & her husband Liam of Hyannis, Janice M. Leary & her husband Robert of S. Dennis, Paula M. Halas & her husband Robert of Billerica, Robert J. Winslow & his wife, Barbara of S. Dennis, Major Philip J. Winslow & his wife Judith of Williamsburg, VA, Rev. Gregory P. Winslow & his wife, Suzanne of Mexico and Virginia M. Hooper & her husband Thomas of Hyannis. He leaves his siblings, Catherine Murphy, Helen Cadigan and Leonard Winslow, all of Melrose, Marie Kinsella of Maine and Robert Winslow of Nevada and the late Mark Winslow and Marguerite Fachan. He was the grandfather of 25 and great-grandfather to 5.

He was born in Dorchester, January 30, 1924, son of the late Leon and Mary (Fay) Winslow. He was a Marine Veteran of World War II.

Mr. Winslow had worked as a machine maintainer for the former Continental Container Corporation. He later owned and operated the former Highland Food Market in Malden.

He was a member of Saint Mary's Church where he had served as a Eucharistic minister and acolyte.
