Miss Pauline Cloues of Melrose, died Tuesday morning, April 17, 2007 in the Oosterman's Rest Home in Melrose following a brief period of declining health. She was 88 years old.
Miss Cloues was born January 10, 1919 in Marlboro, daughter of the late Paul Cloues and Elizabeth M. (Bartlett) Cloues.
Pauline was born in Marlboro and was a lifelong resident of Melrose. She was a long time member of the Green Street Baptist Church. She graduated from Melrose High School and Boston University. She earned her law degree from Portia Law School in Boston. For many years, she worked as an attorney for a Patent Office in Boston. She was a member of the Melrose Historical Society, the Daughters of American Revolution, and the American Doll Club. She enjoyed collecting dolls and also enjoyed arts & crafts.
Miss Cloues was the dear sister of David P. Cloues and his wife, Ruth M. of N. Chelmsford, and the late Elizabeth Griffin and Paul Cloues, Jr.. Sister in law of John T. Griffin of Waltham. Also survived by 1 nephew, 2 nieces, 6 grand nieces and nephews, and 1 great grand nephew.
