Mrs. Pauline (Sheldon) Hall, in her 105th year, died at her home in Wakefield on Sunday evening, September 18, 2005. Mrs. Hall was born August 23, 1901 in Malden, daughter of the late Walter P. Sheldon and Isabel (Richardson) Sheldon.
Her father had owned Sheldon Drug Store on Main St. in Malden for 40 years.Their home was where the Malden American Legion is now located.
She is the widow of the late William W. Hall, owner of W.W. Hall & Sons Building Materials in Maplewood.She was a life member of the Malden Hospital Ladies Aid; a past president of the Malden Garden Club; president of the Florence Crittenden Circle and honorary member of the Melrose Garden Club.She was a direct descendent of the American Revolution and former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Pauline and her late husband traveled extensively in the United States and abroad. Mrs. Hall was a member of the First Parish Malden Universalist Church. Pauline was the wife of the late William W. Hall. Aunt of Ruth Bodurtha of New London, NH, Phyllis Schofield of Orem, Utah, June Osberg of Sandwich, NH and Appie Schneider of Franklin and several grand nieces and nephews and their children. A Graveside service will be held at Forest Dale Cemetery, Forest St., Malden, Thursday, Sept. 22 at 2 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Gifts in her memory may be made to Hallmark Health Hospice, 100 Hospital Road, Malden, MA02148. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden, MA. Arrangements by Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. Melrose, MA.
