Mrs. Phyllis R. (Preble) MacIntosh of Melrose died November 10, 2005 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. She was 85 years old.
Mrs. MacIntosh was born in Malden, October 18, 1920, daughter of the late Walter B. Preble and Bertha (Degio) Preble.
She leaves her husband of 62 years, Dana C. MacIntosh; her children,Gerald MacIntosh and his wife, Barbara and Edward D. MacIntosh and his wife, Karen, all of Amesbury and Joyce Patick and her husband, Wayne of Melrose. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, the late Walter B. Preble II.
She was a life-long resident of Melrose and a long-time member of the First Congregational Church and its Circle 5. Phyllis worked as an office worker and secretary for John Hancock Insurance. She later worked for Turner Catering Company.
