Ralph B. Sargent

He was born in Boston on January 24, 1919, son of the late Ralph and Ann (Rousay)
Sargent. He was a resident of Melrose for the past 47 years.
Mr. Sargent was a plumber and supervisor at Raytheon Company for 30 years until
his retirement in 1982. He previously worked at the Webco Plumbing and Heating Company.
He served in the Uited States Army during WW II and held the rank of Tech 5.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church, Melrose a member of the
Wyoming Lodge of Masons AF & AM. He also enjoyed traveling, painting and
woodworking. He coached the High School Basketball Team at the Congregational
Church and was a Melrose Little League Coach.
Mr. Sargent was the husband of the late Anne (Moody) Sargent. Father of Ralph B.
Sargent, III and his wife Andrea of Newbury and Donna E. Sargent of Amesbury.Brother
ofChristine Linnane of Stoneham and Thelma Yeomans of Salisbury.Grandfather of
Brian J. Bazylinski, Corey J. Bazylinski, Ralph "Ben" SargentIVand Christopher A.
Sargent.
Visiting hours
Thursday 2-4 and 6-9 PM.
Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
