Mrs. DelGenio was born May 10, 1927 in East Boston, daughter of the late John T. Walker and Catherine (Costello) Walker.
Her husband, Amidel A. DelGenio died in 1992. She leaves her children, Dennis W. DelGenio and his wife Marianne of Danvers, Kathryn R. DelGenio, Stephen X. DelGenio and his wife Sharon, James F. "Skip" DelGenio and his wife, Stacey all of Melrose, David A. DelGenio of Malden, and Sandra Doucette of Melrose. She leaves five grandchildren, Kristine and Alyssa DelGenio, both of Danvers, Meaghan DelGenio, Anthony DelGenio and Regina DelGenio, all of Melrose; a brother, Michael Walker of Sandwich. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Fr. Fred Walker, Mark Walker, Mary Corby, Sr. Claire Walker and Catherine Moynihan.
