Robert R. Alwell
Mr. Alwell was born in Everett, September 6, 1921, son of the late Laurence J. Alwell and Katherine (Walsh) Alwell.
Robert was raised and educated in Everett. He graduated from Everett High School. He graduated from the University of Buffalo with a degree in English and received his Masters in Literature from the University of Massachusetts.Robert taught English and Literature for 30 years in Everett Public Schools. He worked in counter-intelligence, out of the pentagon, during WWII, then later he was an FBI agent for 9 years. During the summer, Robert enjoyed spending time in both Gloucester and Rockport.
Dear brother of Phyllis M. DiVenuti and her husband, John, of Lynn and the late Mildred Clancy and Laurence J. Alwell, Jr.Cherished uncle of Mark DiVenuti of Portsmouth, VA, Gerard DiVenuti of E. Boston, Joan DiVenuti of Middleton, Karen Clancy, Joan Clancy, John Clancy, and Robert Clancy all of Marshfield.
