Robert G. "Bc" Carroll
Mr. Carroll was born on July 10, 1947 in Melrose, one of three children of the late Francis E. Carroll and Gladys R. (Leet) Carroll.He was raised in Melrose where he graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1965.He then served his country proudly in the US Army during the Vietnam War.He married Roberta (Johnson) Boucher in Melrose and raised their family of two children in Winsor, CT.For several years, Bob worked as an insurance underwriter before retiring and moving to Venice, FL.
Bob enjoyed his retirement in Florida with simple pleasures.He loved watching the sunsets from North Jetty in Venice, weekly poker games with his buddies, and became an avid Tampa Bay Rays baseball fan.Still a New Englander at heart, he was still a Patriots fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends riding motorcycles.
Bob was the devoted father of Kimberly A. Davis and her husband Benjamin of Ludlow, and Eric J. Carroll of Windsor, CT.Former husband of Roberta (Johnson) Boucher of Ware.Dear brother of Frank W. Carroll and his wife Jean of Wakefield, and the late Joann Mullins.Cherished grandfather of Madelynn Carroll and Annabelle Davis.
Relatives and friends will honor and remember Bob's life by gathering for Visiting Hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Friday, June 22 from 4-7 PM, and again for his Funeral Service celebrated on Saturday, June 23 at 10:00 AM.Services will conclude with military honors presented by the US Army.
