Robert P. "Bobby" Giordano, longtime resident of Stoneham, passed away from complications of Covid-19 on January 1, 2021.He was 71.
Born in Revere on February 18, 1949, Robert is one of two children of the late Pasquale and Victoria (Marchese) Giordano.He grew up for a short time in Chelsea before moving to Medford.He graduated from North Cambridge Catholic High School in 1967.In his youth, Robert played basketball in school, and enjoyed surfing at Nahant Beach, skiing, golfing, and playing his guitar in a band called The Counts.
Robert met Suzanne M. Marino in 1964, and they were married on August 1, 1971 at Our Lady Grace Catholic Church in Everett.They went on to spend almost 50 wonderful years together.
The family lived in Revere for a short time before settling in Stoneham in 1977.He went to work for the Boston Naval Shipyard as an electrician for some time before he went to work for his father-in-law at B&M Fish Company in Boston.He eventually became owner and sold the business upon his retirement after many years of operation.
Family was exceedingly important to him.He was exceptionally active in the lives of his children and grandchildren.He truly adored his family and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.He enjoyed bowling, fishing, going out for daily lunch with his dear friends, and the occasional poker game at Foxwoods.
Gone too soon, the memory of Robert will live on in his family and friends through stories and laughs shared.He will be deeply missed.
Robert was the beloved husband of Suzanne M. (Marino) Giordano.Devoted father of Annmarie Therriault and her husband Jamie of Coventry, RI, and Robert P. Giordano, Jr., and his wife Katie of Stoneham.Loving brother of Loretta Tusa and her husband Frank of Medford.Proud grandfather of Matthew, Christopher, and Jason Therriault, and Nora and Eva Giordano and his adored fur grand babies Cooper and Chloe.
