"Bob" Lyons of Everett died at the New England Medical Center Hospital, Boston Sunday morning,November 9, 2003.He was born in Boston April 2, 1923 son of the late Albert J. and Dolonia (MacDonald) Lyons.During WWII he served in the Navy on the USS Slater.Bob retired as a supervisor of Ship Surveying after spending 38 years at the Boston Navy Yard. Bob was a member of the Melrose Veterans Club.
Bob was the loving husband of Ann (Nicolo) Lyons.Devoted father of RobertJ. Lyons and his wife Arlene of Tewksbury,Janet C. Borseti and her husband Richard of Wilmington, Barbara A. of Everett, Thomas E. of Stoneham and Stacey A. Lyons of Peabody.Brother of Joseph of Everett and John Lyons of Hanover.Grandfather of Jeffrey Lyons, Timothy Lyons, Lyndsey Borseti, Kyle Borseti,Evan Borseti, Kristi Lyons, Matthew Lyons and Kimberly Lyons. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSEWednesday Nov. 12 at 8:45 AM.Funeral Mass inSt. Therese's Church,Broadway, Everett at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully to attend.Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM.Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.
