He leaves his wife of 47 years, Helen H. (Stanzyk) McCree; his daughter, Diane J. McCree of Belmont. Also survived by nieces and nephews, including Ann Marie Locwin and her children, Brian and Eric, all of Charlton.
Robert was born on July 10, 1927 in Medford, a son to the late John H. and Anna M. (Murphy) McCree and has lived in Wakefield since 1964. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. McCree worked in various capacities for the United States Postal Service in the South Annex in South Boston, retiring as postal clerk in the 1970's. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church and the Disabled Amerian Veterans.
