Mrs. Rose (Aiesi) Sacramone, a longtime resident of Everett, passed away peacefully at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Sunday, August 17, 2014, at age 90.
She was born on January 11, 1924 in Everett, one of six children of the late Paul Aiesi and Mary (Zarba) Aiesi. Raised and educated in Everett, she lived in Everett all of her life.After graduating from Everett High School, she began working at the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston.On June 30, 1950, she married her childhood sweetheart and neighbor from across the street, Dominic Sacramone.Rose stayed at home to raise three daughters until returning to work at Everett Savings Bank where she served as Branch Manager for several years.
Mrs. Sacramone was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always put her family first.She loved cooking, spending time with her grandchildren, and travelling to Florida during the winter.When not with her family, she enjoyed going out to eat with her girlfriends from the bank, Gracie Pednealt and Mary Spracklin.
Above all else, she adored her family and her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren and great-grandson.
Rose was the beloved wife of the late Dominic Sacramone with whom she shared 46 years of marriage.Devoted mother of Betty S. Howland and her husband Bob of Rye, NH, Cindy Fiducia and her husband Fred of Everett, and Sharon A. Vecchiarello and her husband Anthony of Stoneham. Dear sister of the late Donald Aiesi, Millie Roop, Fay Fino, Phil Aiesi, and Esther Aiesi.Cherished grandmother of Tina Howland Wilkinson of Rochester, NH, Tim Howland of Saratoga Springs, NY, James Howland of Rye, NH, Nicholas Vecchiarello of Stoneham, and Vincent Vecchiarello of Stoneham. Caring great-grandmother of Dustin Howland of Rochester, NH.Loving sister-in-law of Arthur and Helen Sacramone of Portsmouth, NH, Frederick and Marianne Sacramone of Everett, Robert and Renata Sacramone of Chelsea, and the late Frank Sacramone and Vincent Sacramone. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Rose's life at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose during visiting hours on Friday, August 22 from 4-8PM, and for her Funeral Service celebrated at the Melrose Highlands Congregational Church, 355 Franklin St., Melrose on Saturday at 9:30AM.
