Ruth V. Bears
She was born in Melrose on June 4, 1920, a daughter of the late Waldo W. Bears and Ethel M. (Hunt) Bears. She was raised and educated in Malden where she graduated from Malden High School.Ruth attended secretarial school and worked for many years at Bank of Boston as a secretary.
Ruth was a very cheerful person who loved to shop.She lived at the Cochrane House in Melrose for many years and had many friends.After learning to drive at age 60, she loved driving around with her friends and family.Ruth enjoyed socializing and always seemed to be happy.
She was the loving cousin of Martha B. Rich and her late husband Robert of Sharon, Ann W. Walter and her husband Jack of AR, W. Whitman Bears and his wife Betty of VA, Ruth W. Abel and her late husband Alan of CA, and the late Charlotte M. Cann and her late husband John, Doris Kent, and Richard J. Hunt. Also survived by many extended family members.
Relatives and friends will honor and remember Ruth's life by gathering for her Funeral Service at the First Church in Malden, 184 Pleasant St., Malden celebrated on Friday, December 7 at 10:00 AM. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
