Ruth B. Moff was born on May 9, 1911 in Cambridge, one of two daughters of the late Ivan Blanchard and Mary (Johnson) Blanchard.
Mrs. Moff was raised in Cambridge where she graduated from high school.She enjoyed 25 years volunteering for the City of Wakefield at the Yeuell and Greenwood Elementary Schools.A homemaker, Ruth loved knitting, sewing, and playing the piano.She was a longtime active member of the Greenwood Union Church where she sang in the choir.She was also a member of the Wakefield Kosmos Club.
She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence A. "Brownie" Moff.Devoted mother of Richard B. Moff and his wife Carol H. of Williamsburg, VA, Carol A. Riley and her late husband John A. Riley of Clermont, FL, Patricia G. Zoda and her husband Frank of Wakefield, and the late Claire R. Flannigan and her late husband David and the late Craig D. Moff.Dear sister of the late Pauline Hanright.Cherished grandmother of Richard "Ricky" B. Moff, Christine L. Naumann, Robert B. Moff and his wife Dawn, Patrick E. Riley and his wife Jackie, Marguerite A. Riley, Eileen M. Riley, Matthew S. Riley and his wife Patti, Bridget M. Riley, Mary Kate Riley, Steven D. Flannigan and his wife Diane, Glenn T. Flannigan and his wife Elizabeth, Keith E. Flannigan and his wife Dawn, Kevin J. Flannigan and his wife Eleni, Marc F. Zoda and his wife Amy, and the late John A. Riley, Jr. and Daniel T. Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, Wednesday, January 5 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Tuesday from 4-8 PM.Interment in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.Gifts in Ruth's memory may be made to the Craig D. Moff Memorial Fund, c/o Citizens Scholarship Foundation, PO Box 321, Wakefield MA 01880.
