Ruth J. Powers

Mrs. Ruth J. (Kaepplein) Powers, a longtime Melrose resident (and also recently from Rochester, VT) died on Wednesday evening November 18, 2009 in a Boston hospital.She was 87 years old.Ruth was born in Everett on April 1, 1922.She worked as an office manager for many years. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Powers.Loving daughter of the late Frank and Margaret F. (Hysong) Kaepplein.Devoted sister of Frank Kaepplein and his wife Jane of Fair Haven, NJ, Howard Kaepplein and his wife Gail of Harvard, and the late Margaret Fuller.Dear sister-in-law of Mary R. Powers of Hyde Park and the late Esther L. Powers.Loving aunt of Kathy Pierce of NJ, Eric Kaepplein of MD, Kristi Kaepplein of MD, Laura Fuller of Arlington, Douglas Fuller of CA, Mark Kaepplein of Arlington, Bonnie Robinson and her husband Dave of North Reading, Jean Murray and her husband Don of Cambridge and Rochester, VT and their daughters Tegan, Tara and Jannah, and the late Marty Kinney.
