Ruth P. Waterhouse
87 of Melrose died Monday, August 2, 2004 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after a short illness. Ruth was born in Belfast, Maine, daughter of the late Stanley and Blanche(Pitcher) Wescott. Upon graduation from the University of Maine at Farmington, Mrs. Waterhouse taught elementary school for ten years in Maine, New Jersey and Melrose. After raising three children Mrs. Waterhouse returned to teaching at the Melrose Highlands Nursery School, retiring in 1990 after 18 years. She was a member of the Melrose Highlands Congregational Church Womens Guild-Group 1 from its inception. Ruth was the beloved wife of Frank C. Waterhouse with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.Mother of Elizabeth Hillson of Glastonbury, CT, John Waterhouse of Carthage, NY and Mark Waterhouse of Derry, NH.Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Memorial Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. Melrose, Friday Aug. 6 at 11AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
