Ruth was born February 24, 1910 in Springfield, a daughter of the late Clarence I. Paddock and Pearl L. (Breck) Paddock.
Mrs. Wilson was raised in Melrose.She graduated from Melrose High School and the Children's Hospital School of Nursing in 1931.For many years, Ruth worked as a Registered Nurse at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.She was a Trustee of the Fitch Home and an 83-year member of the First Congregational Church.Ruth was a talented crafter and loved her needlework.
Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Arthur F. Wilson with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.Devoted mother of Martha W. 'Marti' Reed of Milford, CT and Kenneth P. Wilson and his wife, Karen of Gilford, NH.Dear sister of Eleanor Alexander of Troy, NY.Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey D. Reed, Bruce A. Reed, Susan Reed, Carrie Reed, Holly Maher, Carrie Defosses, Kristen Logue, Kendra Dionne, and Kirk Purington, Jr.She is also survived by 17 loving great-grandchildren.
