Shawn P. Dinjian

Shawn P. Dinjian, a lifelong resident of Reading, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, November 11, 2017.He was 30.

Shawn was born in Reading on March 11, 1987. He was raised in Reading and graduated from Reading High School where he developed a love of math and sports. Growing up in Reading, he played hockey, baseball, soccer, and was on the wrestling team in high school. After high school, Shawn worked as an apprentice Electrician for 6 years and was licensed as an Electrician in 2015. Hard working and intelligent, Shawn was proud to call himself an Electrician and member of Local 103 IBEW.

Growing up playing sports, Shawn always had an active life. He was an excellent skier, and had skied all over New England since the age of four. He was also a bit of a collector. He had an extensive collection of mint condition baseball hats for all major sports that he wore daily. He collected watches, loved Pokemon cards, and had a Zippo lighter in every color that he would match to his hat. He enjoyed working with his hands, a home cooked meal with his mom, and watching sports with his family. If he wanted to get away, he would take his father's red convertible out for a joy ride any chance he could.

Shawn woke up smiling. He was one of the happiest individuals you could ever meet. He was funny, handsome, and with a great sense of humor, made everyone laugh around him. He was deeply loved and respected by his friends and coworkers, but his family is what brought him the most joy. He was happiest being at home with family, especially time with his Dad who was his best friend and a source of inspiration.

With a bright future, Shawn had lots of plans still ahead. His loss leaves a great void, but he will be lovingly remembered for his pride in his heritage, work, and his deep devotion to family.

Shawn was the beloved son of Marilyn (Ahern) and Mark Dinjian. Cherished nephew of Linda Zenga, Deborah Twomey, Pamela Crasco, Barbara Robinson, Geraldine Norrish, Elizabeth Ahern, William Ahern, Paula Adams, and the late Leonard Robinson, and Patricia Robinson.Loving uncle of Taylor Mallett. Adored grandson of Maria & the late Robert Dinjian, and the late Marilyn & Gerald Ahern. Devoted brother of Jennifer, Donald, David, and Joseph. Also survived by many loving cousins.
