Mr. Sinclair C. "Bunny" Milligan, a longtime resident of Melrose, passed away at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at age 79.

He was born on November 1, 1933 in Waltham, one of two sons of the late Culbert and Augusta (Buchanan) Milligan.Raised in Waltham, his family moved to Malden where Sinclair graduated from Malden High School.He served his country in the US Army for several years before being honorably discharged.Sinclair worked for many years in the food service industry.He worked for Casson Services, and Harbor Food Service in Boston focusing on delivering supplies to the many restaurants in and around Boston.

Sinclair was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Melrose where he was a longtime member of the choir. He loved singing, watching musicals, movies, and his beloved golden retrievers, Peaches, Molly, and Jenny.He also enjoyed travelling to Maine, Vermont, and visiting Old Orchard Beach during the summer.

Beyond his love of family and golden retrievers, his biggest passion in life was the New England Patriots.A season ticket holder for the New England Patriots, Sinclair was a faithful fan who attended nearly every home game. When the Patriots played away games, he would watch from home.When the Patriots made it to the Superbowl, Sinclair was there cheering on his team.His love continued as his eyesight got worse, but that did not deter him, he simply got a bigger TV so he could watch the Patriots on Sunday.And now, an angel in a New England Patriots jersey cheers on his favorite sports team from up above.

Sinclair loved to laugh, and had a knack for always saying something funny at just the right time.He was loved by many and lived a full life of love, laughter, and devotion to his family.

Sinclair or "Bunny" as he was known at home was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Williams) Milligan with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.Devoted father of Nancy A. Milligan of Melrose and her fiancé Richard Haffty of Holden.Loving brother of the late Roger Milligan and his late wife Ellie.Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends will gather in honor of Sinclair's life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Monday, October 14 from 4-8 PM, and again for his Funeral Service at First United Methodist Church, 645 Main St., Melrose on Tuesday at 10 AM.Interment at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
