Sophie was born April 18, 1927 in Imperial, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Joseph Smith and Annela (Stelmak) Smith.She lived in Melrose for over 45 years. She was a graduate of Armada High School in Armada, Michigan, Class of 1944 and was an avid reader.
Sophie was the beloved wife of the late Owen V. McMillen with whom she shared over 40 years of marriage.Loving mother of Helen M. Bouchie and her husband, John M., of Malden and Joan M. Sevigny of Melrose.Dear sister of Helen DuBaere, Peter, Paul and Joseph Tomeo, all in Michigan.Mother in law of Joseph R. Sevigny of Melrose.Cherished grandmother of Jennifer M. Bouchie of Malden, Owen M. Bouchie and his wife, Sarah J. of N. Reading and Julie M. Sevigny of Concord, NH.Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
