Stella was born December 19, 1916 in Springfield, a daughter of the late Antonio Franchey and Sophia (Machuk) Franchey.
Stella was raised in Stoughton and graduated from Dorchester High School.A 40-year resident of Saugus, she worked for the Town of Danvers as an accredited record technician.She was a certified brailist and loved gardening.Stella also organized a support group for widows & widowers in Melrose and volunteered as an ombudsman for Abbey Hill Nursing Home in Saugus.
Stella was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Lufkin.Great aunt of Linda Kossin of Melrose.Loving friend and companion of Susan Speropolous of Lynn and dear friend of Thomas Gately of Peabody.Beloved aunt of Connie Carmichael and her husband David of New York and their children, James and Emily, and her nephew John Molino and his wife Carmen of Washington, DC and his children, Neil and Van.
