Stephen H. Spanky Gibson
Stephen was born February 1, 1950 in Woburn, Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Kenneth V. Gibson and Katherine "Tina" (Morrison) Gibson. Stephen was a resident of Malden for several years and previously resided in Melrose. He was a graduate of Melrose High School. Stephen was a Truck Driver for Stockbridge Corporation in Stonehamfor several years. He was a Vietnam veteran serving with the United States Marines where he held the rank of Lance Corporal. He was a member and Vice President of the Leathernecks Marine Motorcycle Club, a member of the American Legion Post 115 in Stoneham and the Stoneham Elks 2211.
Stephen was the father of Jessie A. Gibson and Sarah L. Gibson both of Salisbury. He was the brother of David I. Gibson and his wife Ginny of Malden, Kenneth V. Gibson, Jr. of Malden and Katherine B. Fowlie and her husband Roy of Stoneham. Stephen was the beloved uncle of Charlene Anderson, David Gibson, Deborah J. Fowlie, Pamela L. Fowlie-Davies and Roy "Buster" Fowlie, Jr. He was the beloved great uncle of Brittnie, Alayna and Stefanie.
Funeral Service at the First Baptist Church, 561 Main St. Melrose, Wednesday, June 30 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. Melrose Tuesday4-8 PM.
Interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Arrangements by Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. Melrose.
