Steven D. Carpenter of Kingston, New Hampshire, and formerly of North Andover, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 12, 2021.He was 64.
Born in Melrose on November 16, 1956, Steven is one of six children of the late Donald L. and Nancy Fay (Habblitz) Carpenter.He grew up in Malden graduating from Malden High School where he exceled in Athletics.He played Baseball, Football, and Basketball.He continued playing sports throughout his life.
Steven served honorably in the United Sates Army.Upon returning state side, he worked in several trades before joining the Malden Fire Department.He transferred to North Andover Fire Department where he would eventually retire.He loved being a firefighter.It really was his whole life.
A kind and caring person, Steven loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.He was especially happy in nature or surrounded by simplicity.
Steven's kindness and caring nature will be dearly missed.
Steven was the devoted father Steven D. Carpenter, Jr. of Charlestown, and Michael F. Carpenter and his wife Lindsay of Haverhill. Dear brother of Diane C. Jones of Malden, Kathryn J. Goddard of Malden, David C. Carpenter of Malden, Ronald Carpenter of Mashpee, and James L. Carpenter of Malden. Cherished grandfather of Alyxis, Hannah, Madelynn, and Charlotte Carpenter.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Saturday, August 21 from 9-11am, and for his Funeral Service celebrated at 11am.Interment at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
