Mrs. Teresa E. (Candelora) Rauseo, a resident of Wakefield and formerly of Malden, passed away peacefully at Lahey Clinic in Burlington on Monday, June 6, 2016, at age 99.
Mrs. Rauseo was born on April 3, 1917 in Malden. She was one of twelve children of Italian-born parents the late Rocco and Philomena (Marocco) Candelora who settled in Malden to raise their large family.
Teresa lived in Malden where she raised her two daughters until moving to Wakefield with her family in 1969. True to her Italian roots, she loved to cook and host her family for large meals or just a chat over a cup of coffee. She had a witty sense of humor that kept her husband on his toes and made everyone laugh. Most of all, Teresa was a loving family woman who cared deeply for her siblings, her children, and her husband. She was kind, generous, and always stayed true to herself and her family.She kept a clean home, made sure everyone was well fed, and remained a dedicated wife, mom, and homemaker throughout.
Mrs. Rauseo was the beloved wife of the late Angelo H. Rauseo with whom she shared many years of marriage. Devoted mother of Carole A. Carr of Wakefield, and Donna J. Donovan and her husband Russell of Peabody. She was predeceased by her 11 siblings. Cherished grandmother of Diana Donovan and her husband Steven Sadoway of Lexington, Jennifer Donovan of CA, and Shawn Donovan of CA. Loving great-grandmother of Natalia Sadoway.Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Teresa's life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Thursday, June 9 from 4-8pm, and again on Friday morning at 8:30am before leaving in procession to St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield for her Funeral Mass celebrated at 9:45am. Interment at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
