Thelma M. Johnson

Mrs. Thelma M. Johnson, of Billerica and a former longtime resident of Melrose, passed away on Monday May 25, 2009 at home in Billerica.She was 97 years old.
Mrs. Johnson was born January 24, 1912 in Boston, a daughter of the late James A. McLean and Elizabeth (Russell) McLean.
Thelma was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School and Burdett Secretarial School in Boston.She worked for many years with New England Mutual Life Insurance Company in Boston.
Thelma was the beloved wife of the late Ernie G. Johnson.Dear sister of Muriel Tuck of Billerica and the late Donald McLean and Alan McLean. Cherished aunt of Richard Tuck and his wife Sharon of Billerica, Beth Carmody of ME, Barbara McLean of Medford and Jim Tuck of FL. Also survived by several grand nieces, grand nephews and great grand nieces and great grand nephews.
Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, Thursday, May 28 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 6-8 PM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
