Thelma Muriel Ward, 94 of Deland, FL, formerly of Melrose, MA, died at the Alliance Nursing Healthcare Nursing Home in Deland, FL on Sunday September 5, 2004. Thelma was born February 19, 1910 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late Ralph E. and Clara M. (Shaw) Ward. Thelma was a graduate of the New England Baptist Hospital, School of Nursing, class of 1941.She was a Registered Nurse at the New England Baptist Hospital for over 30 years and at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital from 1950-1953.Thelma was a graduate of Boston University, class of 1950 and received her Masters Degree from Boston University in 1953.Thelma Muriel Ward was a long time member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Melrose and a former 61 year resident of Melrose.
A graveside service will be held at Wyoming Cemetery, Sylvan Street, Melrose, Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 11:30 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
