Thornton S. Miller
Mr. Miller was born in Melrose, August 16, 1932 son of the late Wilbert L. Miller and Marie (Smith) Miller.
Thorny graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1950. For many years, Mr. Miller worked for the American Mutual Insurance Company and served on the Board of Directors for the company's Credit Union. He retired after 35 years as an Assistant Vice President. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a 100% disabled Veteran. He was a former Assistant Golf Pro at Brae Burn Country Club in Newton. Thorny was an avid and passionate fan of all sports and especially loved golf and baseball.
Thorton was the beloved husband of Jeanne (Bruillard) Miller and the late Sheila (Maxwell) Miller. Loving father of Gary J. Miller of Saugus and Deidre C. Sandonato of Wakefield. Loving stepfather of David R. Fuller of Prospect, CT and Allison Jolie of York, ME.Dear brother of Ann Johnson of Alexandria, NH and Roberta "Bobbie" Marecek of Leesburg, FL. Cherished grandfather of Gary W. Miller, Shannon E. Miller, Courtney A. Miller, Heather S. Sandonato, Louis R. Sandonato, Tyler M. Sandonato, David Fuller, Matthew Fuller, Jacob Fuller, Ryan Jolie and Erika Jolie.
