Tim a retiredtruck driver died suddenly at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital Friday June 6, 2003.Tim was born in Everett June 15, 1959.He was a former resident of Wakefield and a long resident of Melrose. He was a baseball coach for the American Little League, Melrosewhere he coached the minor, major and Babe Ruth teams. Tim was the devotedhusband of Arlyn C. (DuClos) Stretton. Father of Michael T. Stretton and his wife Kristine of Derry, NH and Timothy B. Stretton Jr. and Jonathan W. Stretton both of Melrose. Son of Bill and Joanne (Stumpf) Stretton of Pensacola, FL.Brother of Sally A. DiOrio of Lynnfield, Thomas W. Stretton Jr. of Melrose, Priscilla L. Bunts of MD, Gayle M. Pridgen of NJ, Susan J. Fennelly and Howard W. Stretton both of Wakefield, and Linda J. Durfee of FL.Grandfather of Ashley L. and Michael T. Jr. both of Derry, NH. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Wednesday June 11 at 9 AM.Funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Main St., Wakefield at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 3-8PM. Gifts in his memory may be made to the Stretton family fund, c/o The Savings Bank, 347 Main St. Wakefield, MA01880. Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
