Mrs. Valerie (Kramer) Charles, of Fairfield, Connecticut and formerly of Lexington and Lynnfield, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday morning, August 14, 2012.She was 43.
Valerie was born on November 22, 1968 in Boston, one of three daughters of Kenneth and Eda (Donatelli) Kramer.She was raised in East Boston, and Lynnfield where she graduated from Lynnfield High School.She received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Salem State University.On November 11, 2001, Valerie married the love of her life, Peter J. Charles, and they resided in Lexington.She worked for Stride Rite Corporation for several years as a Supply Chain Manager.
After the births of their daughters, Olivia Grace and Emily Rose, she and Peter relocated to Fairfield, CT.Valerie quickly became a loving and attentive mother to their children.She enjoyed bringing them to their swimming lessons, piano lessons, Girl Scout meetings, and loved going out with them for breakfast and dinner.She and Peter enjoyed bringing Olivia and Emily to the beach in Connecticut and loved their trips to Florida and Aruba.
Valerie was passionate about theatre and enjoyed all forms of music and dance.Receiving her appreciation of the arts from her mother, Valerie especially loved to dance. She danced in many musical productions with the semi-professional theatre group, The Reagal Players in Waltham, and played an ensemble role with the North Reading Theatre Workshop.
Valerie, lovingly known as "Val" was the beloved wife of Peter J. Charles with whom she shared 10 years of marriage.Cherished daughter of Kenneth Kramer and Eda (Donatelli) Kramer of Lynnfield.Devoted mother of Olivia Grace Charles and Emily Rose Charles.Loving sister of Melissa Kramer of Middleton and Andrea Kramer of Methuen.Dear niece of Elsa DeSanctis of East Boston, Antonetta Fiamingo of Watertown, Judith Amendola of Mission Viejo, CA, Marvin Kramer of Cincinnati, OH, and the late Walter Donatelli.Also survived by many loving cousins.
Relatives and friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Valerie's life for visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Sunday, August 19 from 2-6 PM and for her Funeral Service at the Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer St., Lynnfield celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM.Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
