Virginia R. &Quot;Ginny&Quot; Cann
Virginia, or "Ginny" as she was affectionately known, was born on January 17, 1921 in Malden, one of two children of the late Arthur P. Cannon and Mildred (Stirk) Cannon.
She was raised in both Malden and Rochester, NH where she graduated from Spaulding High School.She settled in Malden with her husband, Russell, to raise their four children.Ginny was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #2346 in Saugus.She enjoyed crochet and loved the many years she spent ballroom dancing with her husband.
Ginny was the beloved wife of the late Russell W. Cann with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.Devoted mother of Larry Cann and his wife Sherry of Holden, Brian Cann and his wife Joan of Malden, Sharon Cann and her spouse Maureen O'Hearn of Derry, NH, and Andrew Cann, Sr. and his wife Beth of Wilmington. Dear sister of the late Arthur Cannon and sister-in-law of the late Ruth Fraser and Louise Johnson.Also survived by 12 loving grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose, Monday, July 12 at 12:30 PM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 PM.Interment in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
